NEC turned heads at CES 2008 with their gigantic curved display and lately, they dropped 52-inch MultiSync LCD display with professional-grade panel. The latest from the electronics house is the TileMatrix Video Wall Solution, which is destined for commercial applications. The TileMatrix boasts four of the company’s 46-inch MultiSync LCD4620-2-IT displays. With an estimated price tag of $19,000, the TileMatrix has been specially designed for retail digital signage and corporate settings. The four 46-inch LCDs with super narrow bezels account for a more seamless display. It makes way for the video walls to have up to 25 displays (5 x 5) and need only one video source, thanks to the TileMatrix technology. All the displays come with 1366 x 768 native resolution and an impressive contrast ratio of 1800:1. you also get a real-time clock for content scheduling and sleep/wake management function. I won’t be surprised if we see a few of them in people’s living rooms too. The full four-screen system is available for March 2008 shipment.
