water cooling
NEC has launched their new Valuestar W lines, which have a water-cooling system built in, and the setup cools the processor and the hard drive caddy (a strange combination).

Water helps the components to run cooler as compared to air, besides it is much quieter than fans. Can you believe that the operating volume of the Valuestar W at full pelt is 25dB? Well, that is what NEC claims. You get an option to spec either an HD DVD-ROM or Blu-ray-R drive.

The top-end model packs a 2.00 GHz core 2 duo E4400 processor,500 GB hard drive, and a 22-inch LCD screen, where as the low-end ones provide a 1.60 GHz Celeron 420 processor, 320 GB hard drive, and a 19-inch screen.

It is not for the first time that NEC has used water-cooling in their systems, but now they are all set to make the technology a bit more commonplace! The price of the Valuestar W is $2,935 for the high-end VW790/KG.

Right now, it is available in Japan, so all you others’ get time to get the dough ready, for it will hit your market very soon!
