A $1.6 billion luxury casino-resort is announced for Bahamas by Nassau based developer Baha Mar Resorts in partnership with Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. The new mega-resort will feature more than 3,500 hotel rooms, a Harrah’s casino, an 18-hole Jack Nichlaus golf-course, a retail village, luxury spas, restaurants, entertainment venues and much more! The casino resort is said to be the largest in the Caribbean. The developers are also planning to open an eco-water park with a ’show-lake’ for live events. The construction-work will begin in 2007.
