The much awaited vehicle that has been hovering over to revolutionize the entire aviation as well as auto industry has been given a final touch. Moller International is pompously announcing the fully operational hybrid flying car. Known as Autovolantor, it promises to materialize our dream of traveling in flying cars like the Jetsons. No longer will you need to wait for hours in traffic-packed lanes. Simply shift the gear to flying mode and zoom off vertically. This two-seater revolutionary car is capable of lifting off vertically and flying for about 15 minutes up to 150 mph.

Once you steer out of congested streets, you can return to the road, as it runs like a usual plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. On concrete, this vehicle can run up to 40 miles or longer using one of its eight Rotapower engines that juice up the electrical power.
Autovolantor has 618 lbs available for suspension and ground drive. It gets 60% of power from an installed battery while the remaining 40% comes from rotary engines. Initiated by a request from a wealthy Russian businessman, the company started off early to bring about a fully functional Autovolantor. The cost for developing a prototype was over $5 million, but Moller intends to make it more affordable. The production versions of Autovolantor could cost a comparatively affordable $250,000.

A flying car just round the corner.. are you serious? Wow! This sure will help in traffic thats going from bad to worse.. atleast to some people :)
Imagine, you are sitting in traffic and the car in front of you takes off!! LOL
Isn’t that most of imagine the flying away scenario when stuck in traffic?
I’ve seen a lot of flying car articles around. But hopefully this one will work and will help. And I guess, some parts would be the same for a normal car. Carpartswholesale.com would be greatful for that.
