Neiman Marcus 2005 Christmas Book offered Moller’s Skycar for sale, now eBay has put-up the M400X Skycar prototype for auction. This test vehicle has flown repeatedly and demonstrated its hover capabilities in over a dozen flights at the Moller International. The Skycar protoype, is powered by eight air-cooled Rotapower rotary engines, and is capable of generating approximately 500 pounds of vertical thrust. The aircraft features an onboard digital computer system which is composed of two identical computers for stabilization. The vehicle is equipped with two fuel tank. The pilot provides input commands to the onboard computers to control the altitude and orientation of the Skycar during a flight.

The company is also offering to modify the seating as per buyer’s personal needs. The flying car prototype has currently fetched a bid of $1,751,750 and is estimated to go for around $4 million.
