Superyachts, mega-yachts...in short, luxury yachts are not for every living soul here. But if you are born with opulent luck on your side, then it can be a wonderful way of ‘getting away from it all’ without actually getting away from it all. Reach the remotest corners of the world over the blue waters without sacrificing the comforts and style that you are used to with latest from Pershing Yachts. Epitomizing the pinnacle of quality, the Pershing 80’ is raring to rule over the seas and oceans soon. Just getting the finishing touches, this majestic 24.4m (80ft) sailing beauty is the brainchild of Italian naval architect Fulvio De Simoni. Raring to move past its competitors, on the standard version, two powerful 2030 mhp MTU engines combine with ASD 15L surface propellers to guarantee a peak speed of 44 knots. While the faster version with two 2435 mhp MTU engines offers an incredible peak speed of 50 knots at 1/3 loaded displacement.
The yacht’s construction process uses the “Scrimp System”, a fiberglass vacuum molding process that significantly reduces voids in the laminate and increases strength. The new baby also boasts numerous exclusive features, such as the elegant slideaway glass partition, designed in collaboration with Besenzoni. Another exceptional Pershing 80’ feature is the extendable-retractable hard top over the upper saloon.
The roomy cockpit is luxuriously finished to ensure it can be enjoyed without any disturbances. The stern sundeck has been designed so it is completely independent from the opening of the garage, which includes a foldaway platform for easy watertoy launching. You can board this imposing yacht by a gangplank, which doubles as a swimming ladder and a walkway onto the quay when the craft is moored. The dinette in the bow is also a new addition, especially when combined with the versatile, modular sundeck that boasts a bimini top.
Carrying a weighty tag of US$ 6, 800,000 (about EUR 4,315,000), it is scheduled to launch in the summer of 2008, followed by an unveiling to the public at the Monaco International Boat Show.
