
After unveiling their 102 inch plasma TV concept at CES 2006, LG is now making waves in the HDTV world with the release of its largest plasma for retail measuring 71 inches and offering 1080p HD resolution. The MW-71PY10 plasma display features a 1200:1 contrast ratio, along with plenty of HDMI, DVI, and component inputs. Engadget reports that LG hosted red carpet events at Ken Cranes Home Entertainment in LA and NYC to celebrate the launch. The mega-display from LG is priced at $28,000.
