The HDTV-war intensifies further with LG presenting its 100-inch TFT-LCD at the IMID (International Meeting on Information display) in Korea. LG announced this model back in March.

The mammoth display features a maximum contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and a 180-degree viewing angle. Though, LG has not yet announced the availability of its 100-inchie LCD TV. But, it is bound to take Samsung’s title for the world’s largest LCD TV to its kittie!

Hi everyone. The picture clarity shown on this model looks simply AMAZING! Is there a specific date on when it’s going to launch? Also, when it does hit the shelves, will it initially be out in Asian markets only or worldwide? Are there any preliminary prices that are floating around? Any info for comparitive purposes to see how it stacks up against other current models or new models preparing to come out? How obsolete will it be once the next wave of LCD’s appear? How does this particular model stack up to some of the newest plasma models that are currently on the market or set to launch soon? Here is something of a guide (http://www.dealsdepot.com.au/a62/Finding-the-LCD-TV-That’s-Right-For-You/article_info.html) that helps break down the basics of LCD vs. plasma — does anyone have something similar to this but with more specific details about this LG model? Also, is 100in the only make planned for production? Is LG planning on releasing a similar, yet smaller model for the price conscious consumer? I am very interested in purchasing this particular television, or one that’s nearly identical in terms of cost and performance. Sorry for all the questions, but this is going to be a big (and expensive) purchase, so I want to make sure I have all the information available before deciding to spend my money. Thanks in advance for any help
