Following in the footsteps of leading global airlines, Korean Air is also adopting state-of-the-art in-flight facilities. They have now released images of their new, premium seats, which are due to enter service on the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from the end of May. The airline will introduce three types of new seats - Kosmo Suites in first class, Prestige Sleeper in Prestige Class and New Economy in the Economy Class. The Kosmo Suites in the first class cabin are designed by Acumen, a design company from the United Kingdom. The seats in the first class cabins will be fully-flat beds and will be equipped with individual AVOD screens. Korean Air is also enlarging its individual monitors to 58.4 cm (23 inches) to enhance the airline’s state-of-the-art AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) system. The seat comes with a moveable armrest, massage feature and an individual, adjustable reading light. The Prestige Sleeper, which offers offer 180 degrees of lie-flat, is being said to offer comfort that is normally reserved for first class at other carriers.

Private partitions and one-touch controllers are featured in both the Kosmo Suites and the Prestige Sleeper to provide the private space to the customers. The country’s largest air carrier has announced it will invest $200 million for the next three years on new premium seats for passenger flights.
