We have launched our Cool Geek of the Week Series from last week, and we are overwhelmed at great response from our readers and fellow bloggers. But, one thing our readers have suggested, or rather demanded that they should also get a chance to participate in the series by asking questions to The Geek of the Week.
So, we have decided a major change in the series. This time it won`t be just us, asking the questions. But our readers are equally invited to phrase their questions. We will invite a gadget or a pro-blogger every week, and you get a chance to put-up your questions for a week, either in comments section or via email (tips@bornrich.org). We will forward all those questions to our Geek of the Week, and they will answer them.
So, we’re kicking off the series with the real ‘consumer product reviewer’, Judie Hughes the beautiful girl behind The Gadgeteer.

We know you alll are familiar with the duo, Julie and Judie, in case you’re not, here is Judie herself in her own words:
Hi, Judie. Thanks for participating with us in Geek of the Week. Tell us something about yourself, and The Gadgeteer blog -
Judie: The Gadgeteer site has been around since 1997, I have been there since 2000. I’m a gadget and gizmo lover since early childhood - the kid that was always taking things apart to see how and why they worked, even though I wasn’t always successful putting them back together properly!
But, the main thing is that I am a consumer. I hate the idea of wasting money on a product that doesn’t deliver everything promised, and my writing partner Julie feels the same. That’s why every review that we do at The Gadgeteer is for a product that we have actually used for a minimum of two weeks - but usually longer...and we do use the heck out of many of these items. We don’t regurgitate press releases or speculate on upcoming products; we are not a news site, we are consumer product reviewers. During the review process we try to find all of an item’s good and bad points, and then we’ll write about whether they live up to their own hype...or not.
To date, I have written over 400 hardware reviews at the Gadgeteer (Julie has written over 600), and I also do a less formal and more eclectic collection of posts under my Gear Diary covering everything from beta products that I want or I have in my possession (such as the DualCor cPC), to software that I enjoy (such as Astraware’s Broken Sword game), to fashion items that I particularly like (such as my Domino recycled movie billboard handbag):
Few of the interesting posts on The Gadgeteer, worth checking out:-
Unpacking the DualCor cPC
Skullcandy Proletariat Noise Reducing Headphones
Pila GL3 Series flashlight
MoGo Mouse
So Guys, this is Judie, so what are you waiting for.... start asking questions!

Hey! thats a wondeful idea. Here’s my question.
Judie, it’s been almost six years, with your ’Gear Diary’ festooned with over 400 hardware reviews and I’d say almost hacking all of them, in this field, tell me how far you’ve been able to do justice with your reviews, keeping in mind that you’re a real consumer product reviewer? Do you really think your efforts have helped in taking personal technology to a new level with blogging as a medium?
Thats a wonderful idea....
And Judie is surely a beautiful geek.
I have sent my question in email. Please do ask my question to Judie.
Judie its great that your blog is doing well. i wonder though if you’ve thought of focussing on being a green consumer?
Hi Judie, as you have reviewed a lot of hardware gadgets, can you tell me about one of the gadget you’ve ever liked the most and why?
Thats a great idea.
1. Judie, what are three most important gadgets you own, or can`t live without.
2. How blogging stories/articles are different from those in a newspaper or a magazine
When is interview going to be published?
Hello Judie,
I am delighted to see that you are going to answer a few questions here. I am a technophile myself and sometimes my enthusiasm for portable technology crosses all limits of sanity, and I am not alone.
What do you have to say about technophiles? Do you think it is a serious mental condition? :-) How important are technophiles like me for the gadget industry as a whole?
My Q:
1. How would you describe your blogging voice? Do you have a particular style?
2. What advice do you give to small publishers new to blogging? Is it better to start their own blogs, or join a blog network?
