The sub-aquatic playgrounds have become the latest maritime attraction for many of the richest people around the globe. Designed by Giancarlo Zema, the Jelly-fish 45 is a floating dwelling unit that can accommodate up to six persons. The design is 10 meters high and over 15 meters in diameter. The Jelly-fish 45 has taken the inspiration from jellyfishes that live in the seas with their transparent and fluffy structure. Well, the inimitable the floating dwelling features five separate levels, which are connected by a flamboyant spiral staircase. Jelly-fish 45 would be idyllically situated in sea parks, atolls, bays and seas rich in flora and fauna. It would allow the sea dwelling owners to live either above or below sea level in the just right concord with the oceanic environ.

The top level of the Jelly-fish 45 is 5.6 meters above the sea level and is designed for the study rooms. The next lower level sits at 3.5 metres above the sea level and contains the night time zone while the next lower level at 1.4 metres contains the daytime zone with a kitchen and bathrooms. The lowest living level is semi-submerged at 0.8 metres above the sea level and is kept for the guest room, bathroom and technical spaces. The main carrying structural component of the Jelly-fish 45 is completely constructed from plastic toughened by incorporated fiberglass while the submarine globe is made from acrylic with a high compressive resistance. Last but not the least, the price tag reads a mere US $2.5 million. That’s a deal for the filthy rich of the society.
