France-based JazzMutant, a pioneer developer of multi-touch sensing technology, has been now renamed Stantum Technologies, with JazzMutant remaining the brand name of its music products division, which includes the award-winning Lemur multi-touch surface controller for audio and media applications and Dexter laptop-sized surface controller for digital audio workstations. The latest offering from the house is SMK-15.4 Multi-Touch Development Kit, which enables you to build truly unlimited multi-touch user-interfaces for future innovative multi-touch products. It’s based on Stantum’s unique five year experience in the design and production of multi-touch systems. The system includes a multi-touch 15.4′ wide screen WXGA 1280×800 display, PMatrix high resolution multi-touch sensor, embedding Stantum patented scanning and filtering technology, and all the necessary drivers. SMK 15.4 touts all the obligatory elements of a high performance one-stop multi-touch system. JazzMutant has now announced to make its patented Multi-Touch Sensing Technology available on an OEM basis.
