toy train

At the first glance, I thought it was some lavish shopping mall or the interior of a 5-star hotel. Well, the photo above is of a train interior in Japan. The photo is of the Omoden (Toy Train), designed by Eiji Mitooka. The train was created for child-friendly public transportation and comes equipped with TVs, capsule toy machines, kitchen(s), and much more. Another beauty by Mitooka is the Ichigo Ec (Strawberry Train), which runs on the same 14.3 km Kishigawa line on daily basis in Japan. This train is also bestowed with hundreds of toys, TV screens showing cartoons, clean wooden flooring and cots for younger children. Japanese have certainly taken the idea of ‘child-friendly public transport’ to the next level with these 2 spectacular trains. What say about a ride in these beauties? Do check out the picture gallery and video after the jump.
