The Japanese robot-doll is an updated model of the “Tea Serving Doll”, and is designed to move more smoothly. The robot is proficient in serving sake to guests and it automatically stops when she reaches the guest. These lovely little robots work on clockwork technology dating from the Edo period and are made from cherrywood and porcelain. The company asks for 40 days period to make one on order and the robot costs you around $8,700.
