Remember, in March, I told you about the luxurious electric car, tZero that is said to be the fastest electric car in the world. Now, there is another strong contender from Hybrid Technologies, called the LiX-75 that goes from zero to 60 in three seconds with a top speed of 200 mph. The Las Vegas based start-up company plans to unveil its zero-emissions sports car on April 14. The eco-sports-car features lithium ion batteries and solar panels in its Hybrid’s LiX-75. The sleek, sports car runs off of electric batteries, boosted by solar panels on the trunk and it recharges in four to six hours from a regular three-prong electric socket. Richard Griffiths, head of business development at Hybrid says, ‘It’s a sports car that performs like a Porsche Boxster, looks like a Ferrari, and has zero emissions.’ The company will be ready to start delivering the cars in about eight weeks from a new for a price of $125,000. The pricey electric car is targeted at the filthy rich section of the society and most early adopters.

With the continuing soaring of fuel prices these days, could it be that car buyers would go with electrical cars? Perhaps, its a nice alternative, but then we must also consider the price [a bit pricey], not everyone can afford to buy one. Anyways, lets just wait and see what happens next..
