Essentially a PC-based automobile driving simulator, Honda’s new educational software dubbed Honda Safety Navi allows drivers of all levels, from beginner to pro, to learn safe driving through an exhilarating virtual experience. When combined with a retail personal computer and accessories, such as a steering wheel, Honda Safety Navi offers an effortless and easy-to-use automobile driving simulator. The educational software comprises two types of programs, Eco-Drive and SD* Coacher. While the Eco-Drive teaches the users fuel-efficient driving techniques, the SD* Coacher helps users understand key points of safe driving in extreme weather conditions. Honda Safety Navi has been especially designed to let the users learn about eco and safe driving. Honda Safety Navi will be sold as software alone or bundled with the recommended hardware. Suggested retail price for the software alone sits at 210,000 yen ($2,200), and the entire bundle (software + hardware) costs more than $3,000.
