How about having a cigar humidor that doubles as a computer server for storing and sharing photos, videos and other files across your home computer network? Sounds interesting? This is what Baltimore-based independent software developer, Donavon West, has done. He has created the Home Servidor, a desktop humidor that stores your prized cigars and servers for home networks. Made of cedar, the humidor is going to appeal to both the cigar connoisseurs as well as home-computer networking enthusiasts. Underneath the glass hinged door of the Home Servidor, you can store more than a dozen cigars on a removable shelf. The bottom glass panel keeps the electronic components below the cigars safe from humidity and moisture. The custom-made server has off-the-shelf components, including an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor, 2GB memory, support for two internal SATA drives, support for two external USB drives (not included), Gigabit wired Ethernet and Windows Home Server with Power Pack 1.

They don’t want an ugly computer sitting there on their desk. They like things that look nice. They might have a nice flat-screen monitor, a wireless keyboard, and the last thing you want is an ugly gray box.
Pricing for the Home Servidor starts at $799, which includes 1TB of storage space. They also offer custom Home Servidors with an engraved brass name plate and etched logo on the glass. West is also considering embedding a server in an old VCR.

I don’t think this is a very good idea. Cigars need to be kept between 65-70F and the server components will generate a lot of heat.
