German speaker company Heco has unveiled its new floorstanding design, the Statement. The new 3-way floorstanding reflex bass speaker system is being claimed by the company to be the best of over 50 years experience in loudspeaker design. Don’t worry! They are not that expensive at £3000 for a pair. Standing 1.23m tall and weighing 43kg a piece, the new top Heco model combine a hexagonal cabinet profile with advanced driver design and layout. Modern nanotechnology, the legendary magnetic material Alnico and laser-assisted measurements bring together tried-and-tested, new and virtually forgotten elements to produce a harmonious unit. Other salient specs include newly developed 8” woofer with hardened papercone, 25mm soft-dome tweeter with nano-particle coated 1 dome tweeter, aluminum frontplate with short horn attempt, double magnet system and damped resonance chamber. The Statement speakers are available in high-quality real-wood veneer or glossy varnish through Pure Sound.
