Concepts are always alluring and so is the F140 concept yacht from designer Andrew Hawley. Looking like a stingray with sails, the Hawley F140 is said to be a super fast style machine, designed for optimum sailing in 10 - 20 knots of air, preferably in flat water or steady sea. One of the main features of the concept yacht is its 30-degree canting keel with a gimbaled bulb that allows turning stability at high lean angles.

The salient expected features include Exo-scooped self-draining cockpit, lower bow profile, canting keel system to keep the F140 stabilized at high angles, hydraulically controlled bulb, ‘Bat’ Wings, and Stingray sides. The yacht has two goals to achieve, high speed and sleek style. Anyway, The F140 racing yacht is a concept at the moment and there is no word on when it will get the real shape.

Hi Naveen - this yacht is actually now on Ebay here:

Though it seems it’s just the plans (but they’re put together by some Americas Cup designers) and the guy Andrew has a mini version with the bid which is built by the guys that created The Lord Of The Rings and King Kong special effects and models!
