Gresso has just released pricing and specs of the luxurious Black Diamonds and Royal Black Diamonds models, unveiled a few months back. Hand-crafted from the exotic African Blackwood, the new models are covered with gold elements and stainless steel back panel, which is safeguarded by scratch-resistant hand-polished titanium. The sapphire crystal glass around the QVGA TFT 65K color display and the titanium-covered keypad with laser-cut Roman numerals further add to the overall dazzling looks. Gold has been used for the screws and some of the keys. Another notable feature is magnetic lock of the battery cover. The new Black Diamonds and the Royal Black Diamonds models have carried the legacy of Avantgarde Collection forth, very much like earlier models in Avantgarde series - Luna and the Sol.
The Black Diamonds phone touts 4 rare black diamonds totaling .44 carets, gold function keys, a stainless steel cover, and a casing made from 200 year-old African Blackwood. The high-end Royal Black Diamond phone, of which just 50 will be made, is festooned with 2.53 carats worth of black diamonds. Technically, the two-band GSM models feature 320 by 240 pixel LCD displays, Windows Mobile 6 Standard, 64 MB of RAM, 2 GB of external memory, 2 megapixel camera, and Roman numerals.
The Black Diamond model will sell for €9,000 (approximately US $13,000) while the limited Royal Black Diamond edition will set you back a cool €30,000 (nearly US $43,300).
