Swiss audio manufacturer Goldmund is known for producing outrageously priced audio and video equipments. They have shown us the $300,000 turntable and the $300,000 Media Rooom and the latest in the line is Blu-ray player that carries forth the legacy of hefty price tags. They are claiming the new Eidos 20 BD to be the first Blu-ray player from High end audio industry. So, what actually you get in return for $17,000. Design-wise, I would love to give it a big Zero out of 10. Looks like they forgot to pay any sort of attention to its make. Anyway, it touts the AC-Curator power supply circuit that ensures superior picture and sound stability and dynamics, and the Mechanical damping for ultimate sound and video reproduction with least mechanical and electrical distortions. Goldmund has started taking orders for the new Blu-ray player.
Goldmund's $17,000 Blu-ray player looks damn bad!
