However, William Grant & Sons seems to have a different idea, as the Scottish distiller is putting old wine into new wineskins to set its Glenfiddich 50-year-old single malt Scotch selling for £10,000 (about $16,000) a bottle, making it the second-most expensive whiskey bottle in the world. The worth of the limited edition malt Scotch whiskey can well be gauged by the fact that the company will release only 50 bottles yearly for the next decade. Moreover, the treasured whiskey bottles come wrapped in a Scottish hand-stitched, leather-bound case, in addition to the leather-bound book that contains the history of the whiskey.
