This year, Armani/Casa presented an exclusive, new line of furnishing fabrics as well as numbered and signed limited editions at the Salone del Mobile (International Furniture Exhibition, April 22-27, 2009) in Milan. One of the highlights from the brand was a new 29,000 euro ($38,500) gold-plated desk. The Giorgio Armani desk has been dipped in 24-karat gold. Italy’s furniture manufacturers cited that the demand for home collections has started to recover in March after a six-month slump. Almost 10 years since its launch, Armani/Casa has an international presence based on 80 outlets in 45 countries.
