How would you love to install PC in your car! Steve Goodman has integrated a PC into his Ford Focus 2003. The Car PC allows you to play radio, music, DVD movies, connect to the internet, show traffic information, connect into the car’s engine management system to show real-time data from the car’s engine and perform advanced routing and navigation. The car PC is controlled by using a lilliput touchscreen that has been fabricated into the dashboard, and built using a VIA EPIA Mini-ITX motherboard, Opus auto PSU, with the primary software used being Windows XP and Centrafuse. The CarPC performs different functions all through a single interface. So, if you have gone crazy with this ‘PC on Wheels’ concept then you can either integrate it on your own just the way Steve did, or if you don’t mind spending a crazy amount then you can get pre-built systems from the suppliers too!
