It’s kinda hard to think of old movies without women smoking long cigarettes. Fashion and smoking have been linked for decades, and it’s interesting to see that someone has come up with a brand new smoking concept for women. Called Fipa, this luxury cigarette holder for women comes with flavored tobacco in individual units. The idea to create such a device was born when Kuan, the brain behind Fipa, was smoking his pipe and thought of a design solution for a woman’s smoking device. The real inspiration for the project came from the golden era between 1940s and 1960s, when using a cigarette holder by women was a common thing to maintain a decent distance from mouth to cigarette. Kuan further said that the secret to feminine elegance is a simple, linear slenderness and that’s what they have tried to communicate with the design of the Fipa.

To target the luxury market, the final form of the chromium-platinum Fipa was designed by famed Canadian designer Lawrence Chu. Considering the fact that many women love bling, a new version of the Fipa cigarette holder festooned with Swarovski crystals is in the pipeline. Now, that might interest the Hollywood hotties.
