Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has redefined luxury air travel even further, following the unveiling of its new Diamond First Class cabin. The new cabin comes with individual suites that offer enhanced privacy, utmost comfort and increased storage. The new, first class cabin suite will be fitted onto a brand new A340-600 starting August 2009 and will be seen across Etihad’s fleet over the next two years. The extra large seat has power sockets for a laptop, iPod and other electronic devices. The suite features a spacious bathroom that features a new style wash basin and leather fold-down changing room seat. The cabin interior was done by craftsmen from some of the world’s top designers, including luxury leather upholstered by world-renowned Poltrona Frau.
