Wilesco world of Steam Engines offer steam fun for both young and old. Wilesco Steam Engines are toys with tradition. They convert water (steam) into mechanical energy just like the originals. This energy can be used to drive the brand’s appealing models. Today, when turbines and petrol engines have substitutes the steam engine; they still hold the interest of young and old alike. Wilesco Engines are made to address this ageless interest in demonstrating the basic principles of changing heat and water into mechanical power. These toys with tradition are sure to add charm to any room inside your home. They are offering Stationary steam engines, Mobile steam engines, Electrically heated steam engines, Marine steam engines, Steam engines with workshop, Self-build kits, Steam turbines, Driven models in metal and wood, and Clockwork models. A few of the works, which I liked the most, are D 3 Steam Engine, D 305 Steamdriven Fire Engine, D 366 Steamroller black-brass, Radio control for Wilesco Steam Rollers, D 001 Steam Loco ‘Lucas’ and the limited edition Wilesco African Queen.
The D 3 Steam Engine is the smallest and the latest Steam Engines in the Wilesco range with a mirror polished brass boiler. The WILESCO Model steamdriven Fire engine is based on an original which was produced by Magirus in Germany at the beginning of the last century. The Fire engine is operated by the steam engine. It can be driven forward and reverse. The Wilesco ‘African Queen’ is a romantic ship assembled completely and ready to use. If you want to steer the boat by a RC system everything is prepared for mounting it afterwards. It has been designed after the original steamboat ‘African Queen’ was built 1910. Like the original boat, this finished model has a wooden hull and runs with a steam engine.
These are just few of the spectacular works at Wilesco. Check out the image gallery to check many more.
