That’s not it; a retired English couple John and Susan Surbey are putting their entire lifestyle up for sale - including an English farmhouse complete with airstrip, private plane and French holiday cottage for just $955,222 (£590,000). The couple are selling their estate to fund a retirement in Spain and indulge in their latest passion of sailing. The three-bed English farmhouse spawns eight acres of land including an orchard, an airstrip and a hanger. The package also comes with Surbey’s four-seater 1990 Maule 180 Skyrocket. “Having a plane meant we could go to France at the drop of a hat. We could finish work on a Friday, throw a suitcase in the plane and two hours later be at our French home in time for dinner,” said John. The deal also includes their two-bed cottage in Normandy with sea views across to Jersey.
