matchstick ship

Calling all the antique lovers! This inimitable ship model was made of matchsticks only about 100 years ago. It took 4800 hours of labor to build this incredible ship model. Even the life boats and house-like structures have been made with matchsticks. The sails are old and there is some staining on them while the rigging needs to be repaired. A similar model is there is one of the nautical museums in Oregon. The match ship measures five feet in length and 12-inches in width (excluding the life boats). Such a rare and splendid piece will certainly pick on your pockets. The starting bid is US $50,000 and the bidding ends on 30th this month.
