Elvis Presley, the undisputed king of rock ‘n’ roll, had a fad for British-made luxury goods, including Rolls-Royce cars and lighters from Alfred Dunhill, the firm that caters to the needs of the most discerning men. Dunhill has now unveiled an 18-karat yellow gold Apex lighter dedicated to Elvis. The lighter, which is a slim Rollalite model from the ‘50s, is based on one of the examples from the Dunhill archives that were once the property of Elvis. Only 50 examples of the Apex lighter will be made available, with each carrying a price tag of $13,000.
