How about spending the better part of two years building a 30-feet Trimaran yacht, right in your garden to sail down the world’s oceans, and then not being able it to move it out to sea. This predicament is exactly what John Melling, an engineer, has been facing. After building the impressive looking, lightweight Trimaran boat, Melling has found himself in a spot of bother and has to mow his fence down to get his boat out of his garden, out to sea. Coming to The vessel itself, it measures all of 30 feet in length and is 26 feet wide. Constructed out of fiberglass for reduced weight and increased strength, the boat has a twin hull design which makes it almost unsinkable and very stable, to even take rough seas head on. Melling has now booked a trailer to transport his beloved out to sea, on the 8th of May. The keen sailor wants to take his boat to Greece to spend some time in the sunshine. We have no idea how much money he has spent on this DIY yacht, but we do expect it to give tough fight to the real ones on the block.
