Princess Diana was one of the best dressed royal figures. So, anything from her royal wardrobe holds utmost value. Recently, a replica of wedding dress of Diana, Princess of Wales was sold for a price of $175,000 at an auction held in London, yesterday. The dress served as a model for alterations on the gown wore by the Princess when she exchanged vows with Prince Charles in 1981.
The iconic ivory silk and taffeta gown was under the possession of London’s Madame Tussauds museum since then. The David Emmanuel gown was the highlight of the celebrity clothing auction at the British capital’s Proud Gallery which also featured the stuff worn by Marilyn Monroe.
