veyron 16At the Geneva Auto Show held last month, Bugatti revealed the Veyron 16.4 Bleu Centenaire, a special edition model to commemorate the brand’s 100th anniversary. At that time, there wasn’t any detailed info on the car, but now, Motorpassion has revealed that there will be four special edition versions of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Centenaire. These special edition versions are a tribute to four race drivers (Jean-Pierre Wimille, Achille Varzi, Malcolm Campbell and Hermann Zu Leiningen) who drove a Bugatti Type 35 during several Grand Prix races, just before World War II. The new Centenaire comes in four commemorative colors - Bleu (French), Rosso (Italian), Reinweiss (German) and British racing green (Britain). These Centenaire are most likely to appear at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. While there are no engine modifications, the new editions will feature a special paint job, combined with polished aluminum doors and front fenders. The names of the race drivers can be seen on the head rests. We have already seen a number of Veyron editions unveiled this year and with three quarters to go, we are expecting more and more.
