Enter the Swiss Military 20’000 FEET, a mechanical watch that that can survive 20,000 feet under water. The ultra-rugged watch has already entered the Guinness Book of Records for being the world’s first and only mechanical diving watch, which is water resistant to an incredible 20,000 feet or 6’000 meters. The 20’000 Feet Diver was presented at the Baselworld 2009. The watch is 28.5mm thick and 46mm wide, with 10mm thick sapphire crystal. Talking of durability, the 20’000 Feet Diver was run over by a heavy truck, blasted at with powerful fire engine water hose and shot with a shotgun during the tests. Strikingly, the watch survived each test with no substantial damage to the case and the accuracy of the movement. It features a chronometer-certified, shock protected Valjoux 7750 movement, 48h power reserve and Etachron regulator system. The case is highly anti-magnetic and the dial is clear with hands.

The chronograph hands sport a distinctive red marking and can be clearly distinguished from the hour, minute and small second hands. The minute hand is illustrious with its special shape and size from the hour and the second hand. The dial is available in silver, black carbon, blue or yellow. The Swiss Military 20’000 Feet Diver is delivered to the buyers in a collector box with a titanium bracelet and a rubber strap. Only 1000 pieces will be offered, with each costing about 3,000 Euros (approx US $4,050).
