Though, you might have seen pendant sets based on coin designs and a few pocket-watches with coin-face designs too, but the Corum Coin Watch timepiece that was patented in 1964 and was taken out of circulation during the Roosevelt era, trumps them all. The magnificent coin watch by Corum features the face of the coin as the dial that was made possible by the appearance of the sapphire crystal. The ultra-thin movement was thus placed between the two faces of a cut out coin and enclosed by the circular case whose edges were grooved like those of coin.
