Kitchen is the new hi-tech hub of the modern home. We have seen the spur of futuristic kitchen concepts from designers and companies including Whirlpool’s Green Kitchen, Fagor Brandt Aion and others. Another futuristic concept is this Coccina 08 Kitchen from Meiler that features a 360° rotative tap and sink, a pan detection hob, based on induction technology, built-in bins just under the tabletop, an extractor hood with interactive lighting and multimedia display and an interactive screen, acting as an interface for all functions in the kitchen. Designer Chateau Patrick says, “In this futuristic - but still very realistic kitchen concept - all the painful tasks such as cleaning and washing have been simplified, the movements around the two working areas - “wet” and “cooking” - are now much easier. Each element of the kitchen is designed to allow objects to come to the user, instead of having the user moving to reach them.” The overall shape of coccina allows to work seated, and makes movements and communication around the kitchen much easier.
