A music stand, a laptop and a music player all rolled into one? Yes that is what the CLEF Electronic Music Note Stand can do. Ok, the music player part is a little exaggerated considering the fact that any laptop can play music though the CLEF does it differently, more on that later. Apart from that, the CLEF is one very innovatively designed device. The CLEF in it’s Music stand form opens up neatly like a book onto the note stand becoming a digitally sensitive touchscreen device after which musicians in orchestra’s don’t need to pause while flipping over pages for changing notes. The CLEF does all this seamlessly enabling the user change the page either by touching the display or by touching a foot pedal connected to the CLEF. The other Personal PC function of the CLEF is achieved by opening and placing the CLEF like any other book, on the table or any other surface for that matter. In the laptop mode, the user can access the internet and access all the other function’s of the laptop. Thankfully, this device runs on flash memory.
Now, for the music player mode, you need to roll up the CLEF, well literally, roll up the CLEF into a prism after which the CLEF can belt out your favourite tunes. Well, that is one handy piece of gadgetry which can make the life of the travelling musician simple. From a Ballad crooner to a street musician, this device has something to offer to all. A lovely piece of kit. How about making it all weather proof for street musicians, next time around? The possibilities are endless.

The basic functions of the CLEF system design are already possible using a digital music stand called MusicReader. This software can run on a Tablet PC.
