If your billionaire-status has made it obligatory for you to deploy personal bodyguards then instead of going the traditional way, how about hiring robotic help! Chinese scientists have developed a robot that can help ensure security in public places. The robot is the first of its kind and it is jointly developed by the Civil Aviation University of China and Tianjin YAAN Technology Electronics Co. Ltd. The two-wheel differential drive robot look like a small car descended straight from the space. The security robot can move independently on cement pavements and climb slopes. The robot guard is equipped with Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) and wide-angle cameras and it uses ultrasonic equipment to avoid obstacles and transmits information on suspect sights and noises, such as fires, to a controller. The robot is expected to go on sale within two or three months.
