The $150,000 Model-D music system is the first thing that strikes my mind when I hear of Lyngdorf Audio. During the CES 2008, Lyngdorf Audio exhibited its D-1 Home Theater processor and with it, they have made the world premiere of the 8-channel version of the patented RoomPerfect room correction system. The Lyngdorf D-1 Home Theater Processor will be the first audio product to feature THX Media Director aka Blackbird, which converts all your content into smart content that sends out its AV settings, which is further configured for the best playback experience. The D-1 is the first multi-channel home theatre processor where the complete signal processing takes place only in the digital domain. There is no analog-to-digital or D/A conversion anywhere in the signal path, which makes the D-1 stand tall in the crowd.
Lyngdorf D-1 is completely free from the typical A/D and D/A conversion problems, such as jitter, ripple, distortion and noise artifacts. The new 8-channel RoomPerfect room correction system makes for a perfect frequency balance in your listening position. One of the amazing features in the D-1 is its one-button user interface that helps you set up and control all processing. The TDA-2300 Amplifier (pictured above), also shown at CES, has been designed specifically for use with the D-1 home theater processor. Expect the D-1 Home Theater Processor to cost around $17,000.
