Open topped roadsters usually cost lesser than their hardtop brethren but Bugatti has decided to do things a little differently and are developing a drop top version of the insanely fast Veyron. And to buy this baby, you need to shell out some extra dough. Coming to the stuff that really matters, the performance, the targa top Veyron would go slower than the hard top version simply because your hair will be blown off at those insane speeds. Jokes apart, the targa top Veyron will weigh a little more than the hard top version and will have a ‘restricted’ top whack of a very fast 217mph. The extra pounds are primarily due to the fact that Bugatti has had to tighten up the chassis bits to make up for lost rigidity due to the targa top. To make it that extra special, Bugatti has decided to make just 80 cars of the targa-top Veyron.

So, all you fat cats may start pulling strings at all the right places to roar around in your very own Veyron, minus the top of course. Meanwhile, the targa top Veyron will go for an equally superlative figure of £900,000 when it is launched sometime next year and that is a whole £60,000 more than the hard toppers. Phew!
