Danish HDTV manufacturers Bang & Olufsen (B&O) have a knack for packing their displays with impressive innovations. They just won kudos for their BeoVision 8 LCD display at the CES 2008 and now they have another stunning trick up their sleeve. Apparently the company is taking their dedication to providing consumers with the best possible picture quality up a notch by adding a camera-fitted robotic arm to their BeoVision 4 Pplasma 1920 x 1080 display. The robotic arm wont quite fetch you a beer while you’re catching the big game, but it will come out from behind the set’s aluminium frame every 100 hours of views to shoot a test snap of the display, analyze the picture’s color temperature and if the resolution is not exactly 1080p, then it will prompt your TV to adjust its settings. Wow! Now that’s a smart telly! And that’s not all. The set also features specialist sensors that constantly monitor and adjust the set’s brightness and contrast to ensure optimum picture quality at all times while a special coating on the display’s glass claims to reduce reflections.

With a choice of 50- or 65-inch display, you also get the option of pumping up the thump with BeoLab 10 sound system that features a 180° amplifier and triangular speakers capable of producing 500W of the purest sound. Of course the big TV with the big features will cost you big bucks too with the BeoVision 4 50-inch display going for £3500 and the 65-inch model setting you back by £7500 apart from the BeoLab 10 amplifier which retails for £2000.
