Four words when I say Michael J. Fox? Exactly – Back to the Future! The movies were something and the actor did great. If you think likewise than an auction on eBay is sure going to interest you. Up for grabs at $30,000 is a hoverborad that finds use in the 2nd part of the trilogy. The original (or seemingly so anyway) hero Mattell Hoverboard was used by Marty McFly in the 80’s classic. This one’s the wood-based prop that has actually survived the rigors of shooting and looks to be in great condition. Obviously it is not as was supposed to be in the movie (in that it doesn’t actually fly, sigh!) but it does come with fully functional rear ballbearing-mounted footpad that rotates 360 degrees, as well as real magnets on the bottom. And the hole from which Marty removed the handle when he stole the board from a girl also gets retained. The reserve price is quite high but so would be the rush from owning this pink little toy I guess. Jump for two more pics.

Jesus, I wish I had money of that sorts, Back to the future , till date, remains to be my all time fav movie series and i dont see that changing very soon. I am one of those who are still hoping against the hope for the fourth part of the series but anyways, thats why I call myself ’the deluded me’
I like Michael very much. And Back to the future is of course legendary. Still too late for fourth part unless you can time travel and convince the director when he was still on the 3rd one :P
For that kinda money I’d like a hoverboard that’s real not a prop from some movie.
It’s never too late for a good movie :P, I bet if 4th part comes out then it’ll do pretty good at box office, but sadly it’ll never happen
and yeah, that hoverboard is only for rich fanboys, had it been some real working hoverboard then I’d have robbed few banks by now for sure. But all that work for a prop? Not a deal for me.
