From June 27th to 29th, in Anaheim, California, RM Auctions are presenting the esteemed private collection of Mr. Art Astor. Hundreds of antique radios will be offered for sale at no reserve, with examples from the early days of broadcast technology through to the colorful and collectible catalin and Bakelite models of the 1940s. Many examples have undergone restoration, and are as beautiful and functional as when they were first produced.

A California native and 50 year broadcasting veteran, Astor is a renowned entrepreneur and passionate collector, having built one of the country’s most impressive and diverse collections of vintage automobiles and pre and postwar memorabilia. In addition to the cars, the Astor Collection also boasts an extensive range of rare and highly desirable memorabilia, including one of the world’s finest collections of early radios, telephones, televisions and microphones, all in working condition.
