Yes, I know, I am late with this piece of news. But, then it was a hard one to miss. So, here goes my brief take on the most awaited phone of the year. Apple’s iPhone was released by Steve Jobs, yesterday at Macworld. And, it won’t be any exaggeration to say that, the hype has just turned real and it has successfully captivated everyone’s attention with its slim looks and powerful spec list. The iPhone is just 11.6 millimeters thick and it features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, 2 megapixel camear, 4GB and 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi, GSM radio with EDGE and a slew of other features. And, when it’s from Apple, it has got iPod cababilities with touch controls and sync with iTunes. The iPhone is compatible with Mac OS X with support for widgets, Google Maps, Mail, Safari, Google search, Yahoo! Search. This Cingular exclusive phone will start shipping to US in June, 2007, Europe in 4th Quarter, 2007, and Asia in 2008 for a price of $499 for the 4GB version, or $599 for the 8GB version. But, just one question...why it’s not a 3G!

Will you or won’t you need fast payday loans to purchase a new Apple iPhone? There have been reports stating that Wal-Mart could have a 4 GB model by late December. Sources like Apple Insider claim there is a possibility that Apple and AT&T will supply Wal-Mart with the special model that could be sold for $99 with a two-year contract, which is half the price the 8 GB model sold for under the same carrier agreement. They may allow leeway to obtain the product without a need for a payday loan boost. All of this is still a rumor; however, it may tie into a more substantiated agreement by which Wal-Mart in many areas confirmed to begin selling iPhones on December 28th. The San Jose Mercury News caught a scoop by one Wal-Mart store manager stating that Apple had hoped to supply the discount stores with iPhones before Christmas but were unable to do so. One cell phone department manager in a Milpitas, California Wal-Mart informed the Mercury News that her store would be getting a 4 GB model and is expecting its arrival two days before Christmas. MacRumors is reporting that the $99 iPhone rumor is quite “unlikely.”
