Pictured above is not a thing from 70s up for auction at eBay but a very contemporary home theater system from Japanese firm Amadana. Dubbed DDA-134, the compact stereo system has taken the retro route as it touts a walnut wood and chrome finish that gives it those 70s look. The system comes complete with high-tech amplifier and selection of surround sound technology, including Dolby Virtual Speaker technology and support for Dolby Pro-Logic II and Dolby Headphone modes. And yes, you are going to admire the system’s progressive-scan DVD player that enjoys a graceful slot-loading drive mechanism. The retro-style remote control further adds to the beauty of the system. Sadly, the Amadana’s retro system is available only in Japan for a stocky price of ¥168,000 (US $1448).
