
Samsung has already started shipping its 2.5-inch 64 GB NAND flash-based hard drives, which will come as storage options with Dell and Alienware notebooks. Alienware will now be giving customers an option to buy its Area-51 m9750 notebook with 64 GB and a 128 GB configuration as well as a single 64 GB SSD combined with a 200 GB 7200 rpm hard drive. The 64 GB SSD will cost an extra $1100, which is twice to that of the 32 GB model. Moreover, the 128 GB option will set you back another $300. The total price of the notebook goes to as high as $3200. If accompanied with a 512 GB Geforce graphics chip, an upgrade from a Core 2 Duo T5500 processor and from 1 GB memory, a DVD burner, and a sound card, the price can go as high as $4800 for the 128 SSD model.
