After the Wacom Cintiq displays, the Adesso CyberTablet M17 is yet another revolution in digital design. It has been developed as if it was a sketchbook for the desktop artists. It turns a simple PC monitor into a PC tablet for pen-based applications of great diversity. Touting a 17-inch LCD Screen, Pen Input Screen, Document Annotation, Handwriting Recognition, and Presentation tool, the CyberTablet M17 can detect up to 1024 different levels of input pressure and has an accuracy of +/- 0.5mm. The display comes bundled with great value presentation software including PhotoImpact XL, Free Notes, Office Ink, Pen Soft and Power Presenter II. Although, Wacom is the leader in this market, but Adesso does deserve a good round of applause for the CyberTablet M17. Priced at $1,499, it falls in between the $999 Cintiq 12WX and the $1,999 Cintiq 20WSX. I don’t think Adesso will be able to do wonders with this price tag, which is almost similar to that of Cintiq.
